Yesterday Mia started on her very harsh, final preparatory round of chemotherapy. This round is supposed to kill off any possible remaining cancer cells. Unfortunately it also kills all the bone marrow. Bone marrow produces your blood cells. On day zero she will receive her own stem cells back in a transplant. Then she stays in the hospital until her stem cells engraph and become bone marrow.

Today Mia got a dose of Etopiside and Ara-C. Her oxygen saturation levels are still low so she has to wear a mask.
